Personalized Legal representation
A 1982 Cornell Law School graduate, Sherri DeWitt started her own firm to provide the type of personal attention she feels clients deserve. An expert 'listener', Sherri hears what clients want and commits to achieving that end. The firm provides client continuity-the person starting the case, ends the case. Very attentive to detail, clients feel comfortable and confident in her offices- a different environment than in the courtroom where the DeWittt firm is known for aggressive litigation skills.
Ways to Try and Avoid the Courts
By Sherri K. DeWitt
We all work very hard for our money and want to be able to hold on to as much of it as possible. The reason most of us work is to be able to take money out of our business and put it into our pocket. Getting involved with the courts is generally expensive. Business people generally find themselves in court either because they are seeking to recover money or damages from a person or entity who has not paid them or has breached a contract or an agreement or has committed some other legal wrong. Or a businessperson can be sued or find him or herself in court as a defendant. The trick is to try to avoid either having to sue or being sued.
Sherri DeWitt is also a Circuit Court Mediator assisting parties in the areas of real estate, construction, contract, commercial or general business matters.
